We offer Private Charters on the Oquossoc Lady, Gray Ghost and Little Lyman. The Oquossoc Lady offers Private Charters on Rangeley Lake only. The Gray Ghost and Little Lyman is available on Rangeley, Mooselook, Cupsuptic, and Richardson Lakes. Our Private Charters are very popular for special occasions, providing you with your own vessel going where you want, when you want. They are perfect for wedding parties, corporate gatherings, motor coach groups, anniversaries, birthday parties, graduation parties, class reunions or a special romantic cruise. Feel free to “build your own cruise” and see any part of any lake you desire. We can even pick-up and drop-off at your lakeside dock. All Private Charters, at the request of your party, can include discussions on wildlife and local history. To further enjoy your Private Charter, you are permitted to bring your own food and beverage aboard. No smoking is allowed onboard. No restroom is available. We can plan stops, as needed, at various locations on the lakes.
New for 2017! Given the number of cruise requests for small groups (2-3 people) we have added Private Charters about our 1957 16′ runabout, the Little Lyman. These make great “Couples Cruises” for that special cruise with that special spouse! Rate is $100 for first 1 hour and $50 for each additional 1/2 hour.
Below are sample highlights on the Rangeley Lakes from previous Private Charters.
The first of the six Rangeley Lakes, this lake offers ample history and spectacular vistas while cruising on the Oquossoc Lady or the Gray Ghost. The Town of Rangeley and Village of Oquossoc provide the setting for sights that include Doctors & Narramantic Islands, Saddleback, Sugarloaf, Bald and Spotted Mountains, Rangeley Lake State Park, South Bog, and the historic sites where the Mountain View, Mingo Springs, and Rangeley Lakehouse Hotels were located. Discussions on the old railroads, steamboats, fishing and logging can be added to your private cruise.
Enjoy fantastic sites on our State’s 7th largest lake while cruising aboard the Gray Ghost. Viewing can include the spectacular camps of the “Gold Coast”, including Bald Mountain Camps and The Barker Camps. Other possible sites include Student’s Island, Toothaker Island, Bemis, historic Upper Dam and Upper Dam pool, Stony Batter, and Senators Frye & Hobart camps.
Cupsuptic is the northernmost lake in the Rangeley chain. While aboard the Gray Ghost, enjoy the views and history of the Oquossoc Angling Association, Indian Rock, the mouth of the Kennebago & Rangeley Rivers, Browns & Blueberry Islands, Big Birch Island, Cupsuptic Campground, and Senators Frye & Hobart camps.
Upper Richardson offers a remote, wilderness setting for a cruise aboard the Gray Ghost. We can enjoy the sights of West Arm, Upper Dam and the beaches of Metallic & Pine Islands. You could continue through The Narrows to Lower Richardson Lake to see the beautiful Middle Dam and the historic Lakewood Camps (See our Premier Packages for “Lunch at Lakewood”).
