We specialize in the personal service you expect for handling large and small groups. Over the past seven years we have accommodated motor coach groups (as large a 54 guests), and day-trip groups (as small as 6) comprised of retirement communities, senior college groups, and outdoor & adventure clubs.
Depending on your group size and the available time in your trip itinerary, we can offer cruises aboard the “Oquossoc Lady” and/or the “Gray Ghost”. The “Oquossoc Lady” is our classic, restored 1947 wood launch that will provide your group the historic feel of the old steamboats that used to motor on Rangeley Lake. The maximum seating capacity of the Oquossoc Lady is ten (10) passengers and there are 3 steps down into the vessel. The “Gray Ghost” is our 30’ pontoon boat that, while not offering the classic feel of the Oquossoc Lady, does offer easier boarding and individual seating for up to fourteen (14) passengers. Both vessels afford your guests close, personal interaction with the Captain and all cruises will include a historical overview of the Rangeley Region and excellent opportunities to see bald eagles and common loons.
Cruise Rates: Our normal 1-hr scenic cruise rate is $25/adult. For groups of 6-19 adults, we discount the rate to $20/adult. For groups of 20 or more we offer a group rate of $15/adult.
Our motor coach cruises are normally one-hour evolutions, comprising a 45-minute cruise plus 15 minutes for boarding and de-boarding. Depending on the group size, we offer staggered cruises aboard one vessel or utilize both vessels at the same time. While a group of 10-14 is cruising, the rest of the group can visit the Rangeley Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum, Oquossoc Log Church, Farmer’s Daughter Market, and River’s Edge Sport Shop, all within walking distance of the boat cruise location (see more information on these businesses below).
A sample staggered itinerary for motor coach groups would be:

9am – 10am: Cruise 9am – 10am: Museum Tour 9am – 10am: Shopping
10am – 11am: Museum Tour 10am – 11am: Shopping 10am – 11am: Cruise

We have been catering to motor coach groups for eight years and will make this easy for your tour escort and guests!! We will meet your motor coach at a designated location in Rangeley or Oquossoc and provide a step-on-escort to assist your driver with directions and parking locations. Please contact us so we can suggest ways to meet your group’s specific needs.
If you are a small group staying over-night in the area or a “day-tripper” coming to visit Rangeley for the day we look forward to offering you a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Rangeley Lake. Our cruises, when combined with a visit to our local museums, abundant shopping, and excellent restaurants, make for an educational and fun trip to the historic Rangeley Region (see more information on other Rangeley attractions below). Originally developed for Retirement Communities and Senior College Groups, these trips are designed as educationally based outings but can be tailored to meet any group interest (ie. Birding, photography, fall foliage, etc.). Our NEW GUIDED KAYAK TRIPS are a perfect way for smaller groups to experience the beauty of our region by kayak. Please contact us so we can suggest ways to meet your group’s specific needs.
The Rangeley Lakes Region offers the unique opportunity to drive through the beautiful mountains and lakes of Western Maine. Height of Land scenic overlook, Smalls Falls, and frequent sightings of moose, deer, and turkey make this an enjoyable drive. Both approaches to Rangeley, RT 4 from Farmington and RT 17 from Rumford, are designated as one of Maine’s three NATIONAL SCENIC BYWAYS. http://www.exploremaine.org/byways/lakes-mtns/rangeleylakes.shtml
