Our “Mothership” the Gray Ghost

Named after the fly-fishing streamer pattern made famous by Carrie Stevens at Upper Dam, the “Gray Ghost” is 30’ long and has a 16’ hardtop cover over the aft half of the vessel. The largest pontoon boat on the Rangeley Lakes, she is a tri-toon (3 pontoons) design offering extreme stability.

Seating capacity is adjusted for the type of cruising. Paddle Excursions can carry 12 passengers. Premier Packages, Private Charters and Group Travel Packages can carry 14 passengers. “Standing Room Only” trips can carry up to 20 passengers. The deck has a new anti-skid paint covering and comfortable seating is provided on large, heavy duty individual deck chairs.

A unique feature is the inboard 8-cylinder Chevy engine and inboard/outboard stern drive.  While most of our trips will be at slower speeds, I will have the capacity to return to the dock/ramp quickly, if necessary.

A specially configured kayak rack allows for easy storage of 12 kayaks. On the aft of the vessel is a special kayak loading platform that allows easy entry into and egress from your kayak or an excellent swim platform for private charters.

The “Gray Ghost” is uniquely outfitted to meet any paddle trip or cruise package you may desire.
