We’ll depart aboard the Gray Ghost from our private lakefront on Oquossoc Cove on an enjoyable 30-minute cruise on Rangeley Lake to South Bog.  After anchoring in a safe location, we’ll immediately head into the South Bog marshes and stream in an attempt to get an early look at the wildlife and waterfowl of this beautiful watershed. Once we have meandered through the coves in the Bog, we’ll make a stop at a site along the shoreline to stretch our legs and enjoy a small snack. The flat water paddle will continue along the lakefront to the cove that was the original outlet to Rangeley Lake.  Narramantic Island, the largest island in Rangeley Lake, is the next highlight.  We’ll circle the island looking for waterfowl and bald eagles, learn the history of Narramantic Island Camp and enjoy great views of Saddleback Mountain. A short paddle back to the “Gray Ghost” will conclude the trip.  We’ll re-board the “Gray Ghost” and you will then enjoy lunch (provided by you) while the kayaks are loaded. A short scenic cruise will conclude the trip as we return to our lakefront in Oquossoc.
