Cruise & Kayak – Mooselookmeguntic Lake

Shelter & Lunch Island

Click Here for Trip Itinerary (PDF)

This trip is one that highlights the benefits of our Mothership, the “Gray Ghost”.  A distant location in a remote section of Mooselookmeguntic, we’ll depart Haines Landing for a 30-45 minute trip to our anchorage in Wildwood Cove.  There we will enjoy paddling around the beautiful Farrington, Shelter, Griffin, and Lunch Islands while enjoying distant views of Saddleback & Bald Mountains and Height of Land. We’ll stop on Lunch Island at the mid-point of the paddle to stretch our legs and enjoy a snack.  Continuing the paddle, we’ll encounter the boulders of Stony Batter before we glide back to the “Gray Ghost”.  Once aboard, you’ll be able to enjoy lunch (provided by you) while the kayaks are loaded, and then we’ll return to the boat ramp at Haines Landing.

Note: Mooselookmeguntic Lake can get rough and you can expect to get wet on the transit to and from the anchorage site.
