Given the broad success of our scenic lake cruise business and the enjoyment we have gleaned from our guests we decided to expand our business by offering guided kayak adventures. As avid kayak paddlers, Doreen and I have grown to appreciate the sheer beauty and tranquil nature of a flat water glide along the many islands, coves, streams and bogs of the Rangeley Lakes. Simply put….the Rangeley Region offers some of the most spectacular lake kayaking in Maine! Throw in the viewing of common loons, bald eagles, blue heron,,,,and occasional moose….it doesn’t get any better!!
In 2012 we introduced a most unique kayak adventure, our 1/2-day guided Cruise & Kayak Trips. Based aboard our 30′ mothership, the Gray Ghost, we are able to offer guided paddle trips to select, remote locations on many of the Rangeley Lakes. Please visit our Cruise & Kayak Trips page for a detailed description of these exciting trips.
In 2015, given the number of requests for simple guided kayak paddles, we will introduce our Guided Kayak Trips. We have selected three of our personal favorite paddles; the Kennebago River, the Cupsuptic River, and Oquossoc Cove on Rangeley Lake. Our 2-2.5 hour trips will afford you a safe and scenic paddle with ample opportunities to see wildlife. If our 1/2-day Mothership Kayak Excursions don’t quite fit into your schedule, then you might consider one of our three Guided Kayak Trips.
Lastly, if you have a special location on any of the Rangeley Lakes that you would want to paddle with the reassurance of having a Registered Maine accompany you, let us know.
If you have any questions regarding our offerings or would like to make a reservation, please contact us by phone or e-mail.
