Private lakefront accommodations on Rangeley Lake

Doreen and I welcome you to vacation with us at Loonar Landing, our beautiful year-round lakefront log home on Rangeley Lake. Located just off Route 17, a National Scenic Byway, our property offers 130 feet of private lakefront and panoramic mountain views.  The quaint Village of Oquossoc, offering shopping, museums, grocery market, and restaurants, is within walking distance.  The Town of Rangeley is 6 miles away.  We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Rangeley Lakes Region.

We offer three private suites: Eagle’s Nest, Loon’s Nest, and Osprey’s Nest

Our main cabin and new detached guest suite have been thoughtfully designed, built, and furnished for hosting over-night guests. Each suite has its own private entrance into a spacious sitting area with HDTV, kitchenette and dining nook for those that may prefer to prepare their own meals, and bathroom en-suite.

Similar to the large eagle’s nest (called an Aerie) built high in the tree with commanding views of the area, our Eagle’s Nest suite is perched on the second floor. Built in 2007, Eagle’s Nest is our largest suite and, with a queen and double bed, has a sleeping capacity of up to four guests. It also offers a full kitchen. It is our only PET FRIENDLY suite.

The Common Loon builds its nest right along the lake shore. Likewise, our Loon’s Nest suite is located at the lake level of our main cabin with direct access to our lakefront.  Built in the spring of 2013, Loon’s Nest offers excellent furnishings, sleeping for two (queen sized bed) and spectacular lake views.

Our newest suite (built in 2015), Osprey’s Nest, is a spectacular room that offers a bit more privacy. It is located in a separate building adjacent to our main cabin. Osprey’s Nest  has a covered entryway that will take you to your second floor perch!  Once in the suite, you will enjoy a comfortable living room, cozy queen-sized bed and a commanding view of Rangeley Lake from your private deck. Note: There is a 21 step “stairway to heaven”  to the Nest.

All three suites are steps to our private lakefront where we offer complimentary use of our hammock, kayaks, Adirondack chairs, guest fire pit, propane grill, picnic table, and swim float.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation on a crystal clear lake in the famous Rangeley Lakes Region, please consider a stay with us!!
